Backyard Cat is a revolutionary training system that teaches your cat acceptable jumping behaviors. The Backyard Cat training system is all-inclusive of the elements you will need to produce the behavior change in your cat. The change in jumping behaviour will lead to your ability to allow your cat to roam around fenced property without the worry of her jumping over the fence.

Additionally, Backyard Cat can be used indoors to train your cat to stay off of tables and counter tops. Backyard Cat cable is long enough to allow your cat to sit upright without strain. Your cat can walk and run with normal posture, but won't try to jump unless in harms way.

Backyard Cat works by disturbing your cat’s balance when she attempts to jump. Backyard Cat doesn’t prevent your cat from jumping but it takes the recreation out of it. The entire Backyard Cat device, including the cable, weighs less than one pound.

Backyard Cat has been tested under the supervision of a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

The proper training procedure follows precise steps using the items included with your purchase, a harness, a leash and the Backyard Cat. After careful study, we have found that a cat that is used to wearing a collar and a leash should take right to the device. Therefore, we have included both a harness and a walking leash in the training kit.

You first use the harness by itself until your cat adjusts to wearing a one. After you cat has adjusted to the harness you will move to the leash. When using the leash you will not try to guide the cat around, but will keep slight tension on the leash as it moves around, exploring the area. This excercise will allow your cat to adjust to the sensation of having something on her harness.

After she has adjusted to walking with the leash, you will progress to the Backyard Cat. Your cat may walk around slowly at first then feel comfortable and happy being free to walk around a fenced backyard. Please see the instructional video for details and examples.
